New DCU circa Nov. 15, 1985

With the New DCU only a week old I thought this was very timely.  

While reading some of my "classic" DCU books I stumbled across this Meanwhile... column. 

Some of what Mr. Jones advocates for sounds pretty close to what DC is doing now. All new #1 issues, new powers, back stories and continuities.

Mr. Kenneth Jones, if you're out there, you might have seen the future in 1985.
