CrossCompany CrossOver - Cyblade/Shi

It's billed as the Battle for Independents, but really this two-part crossover starring Image Comics' Cyblade and Crusade Comics' Shi seems to be a battle of identity.

Book One - Cyblade/Shi

Published by Image and is your typical 90's super-hero book.

Show some T-n-A

and Fight!

The art by Marc Silvestri is great. There's just no substance to the story.

The second half is something completely different.

They should have used this ad art for the cover.

Book Two - Shi/Cyblade

Published by Crusade Comics with cameos by numerous small press characters.

The book tries to be a commentary on the state of the comics industry in the 1990's.

I've never understand this animosity. Without superheroes, there would be no market for ANY comicbooks.
